Omg, i wish i had read these reviews before i saw this doctor. He should NOT be practicing medicine anymore. Instruments laid out everywhere that he grabbed at random and were clearly dirty. Kept asking the same questions again and again including ones that i couldn't possibly know the answer to. And questions that were irrelevant, about siblings and just weird stuff. Asked me if i ever had my tonsils taken out three times. AFTER examining my throat. Took my pulse then asked me if it was right? Three times. I feel bad, I'm sure he was a good doctor when he was younger and he seemed knowledgeable but there's no chance in hell I would let him operate on me. He should be retired and looked after by a nurse. His memory is shot. Did nothing and suggested nothing to address my problem, just wanted to sell me surgery.

I made a google account just to warn people about this doctor!!!! Please Please stay away! He asked me so many things that had nothing to do with my symptoms. He asked me what my weight was at 13 and 16 years old? Told me anxiety is my issue within 5 min of me being there. He asked me the same questions over and over again. He even wrote it down and forgot and then asked me again another 3 times. He rambled the whole time and tried to put a dirty tongue compressor in my mouth that was just laying out on the countertop. He had no gloves on when touching my ear. Clumps of dirt, dust and hair all over the floor. YUCK! $50 wasted for nothing.

I came here with a dear friend and was surprised she's still going here. Snappy and judgemental or rude & forgetful, I can't decide.
This husband / wife duo needs to pack up & retire. He may have been a great physician in his time, but at almost 80 years old, he should take pride in his accomplishments and know when to call it quits.
Also, the directory says he specializes in skin removal, but in fact, it's " wax removal".. from the ears. Dr Alburger is an ear, nose, and throat physician.

I contacted Dr Alburgers office to discuss Tonsillectomy surgery after calling multiple ENT offices in the area and they all said they don't perform that surgery anymore (5 different doctors). My first impression on the phone was positive as Joyce assured me that Dr Alburger had performed many of these in his past and he was available to get an appointment quickly. After two consultations I had the surgery performed, class act great job. The doctor also recommended I get UPP surgery at the same time, which I am grateful for as it helped get rid of my Sleep Apnea. He is an old school doctor which I appreciate, very knowledgeable. After care Joyce was available by phone after hours to walk through the healing process with any questions I had. I also had a hearing test and hearing aids purchased there afterward, they guided me through the process with an on staff audiologist with custom molded ear pieces.

Stay away from this doctor PLEASE. I went to his office for an ear infection but this person wanted to treat me for anxiety and nonsense this guy, I can’t call him doctor had no idea what he is doing. I ended with central perforation of tympanic membrane that the ENT from Florida Gulf Coast doctor treated. I was lucky not to loose the hearing permanently. Stay Away ? this guy deserves cero stars.

He is very forgetful repeats himself constantly writes down what he says and still forgets it, Doesn't recommend tests unless you bring it up, my husband had neumonia, and he never prescribed antibiotics or any medications, so my husband became sicker. He should have retired years ago.

lady on the phone was very disrespectful, had a horrible attitude, and snapped at me when she found out the person i was making the appointment for was latina. very snappy and unprofessional, she was blatantly racist and hung up the phone on me when i called her out. any one who left more than a 1 star review more than likely didn’t experience the racism from this lady whether they arent latino or spoke to someone else. i will not be attempting to come back and will be telling people to stay away from this racist business.

I needed an examination for right ear hearing loss. My wife picked Doctor Alburger and others from on line listings of ENT's in our area. His office was good enough to schedule an appointment within days of us calling, recognizing that the situation warranted quick action to prevent possible damage to my ear. Room was made for us on a Thursday at 9:45 AM.

Upon arrival, I found the office to be beautifully appointed and immediately comforting. The receptionist on the desk, extremely polite and accommodating. Her demeanor put me right at ease.

After a short wait, the door opened and a patient and his family exited and then I was called in, not buy a nurse or medical assistant, but by the doctor himself! When was the last time you had that happen? Probably never I would guess!

After pleasantries, Doctor John began his thorough examination and we devised a treatment plan for my condition. He spent one solid, uninterrupted hour with me where I felt I was the only patient in his practice. During my visit, he told me of the many years he spent at Walter Reed military hospital in Washington DC where he treated a number of US presidents during his time of practice. And for the one solid hour I was there, Doctor John was treating me as if I were the current President of the U.S.!

After our time together, I was brought to the desk by the doctor and he made arrangements with the receptionist, who I learned was also Doctor John's wife, for a Monday visit. There were no appointments available so she created one at 8:30 AM just for me!

Entering their office is immediately like stepping back in time to the 50's or 60's. A time when patients were important to Docs, not just one in a long line of fifty or seventy five patients to be seen for five minutes before being summarily dismissed. Next!

It is a modern medical office that has been transposed back fifty or sixty years. It's only Doctor John and his wife (and cute family dog behind the desk), no nurses or assistants, no hubbub, no distraction. Just great, high quality modern medicine being practiced by a doctor who actually, genuinely cares for his patients, each and every one.
