Had a decent experience with Atlas Eye Center on Thurs, Feb. 15, 2024. The front desk assistant Fay checked me in and empathized with my story about my job loss earlier in the month. Another employee named Heath took retinal photos of my eyes in the back. I was not disclosed to the fact that they were $30 until payment time. It was $10 for an eye exam through my insurance. Dr. Atlas has been working in this office for close to 40 years or more, he said. I talked to him about doing LASIK eventually but he was re-assuring and told me I wouldn't need it.

I wanted a summary of something along the lines that my eyes were healthy, no glaucoma or cataracts, etc., but they don't provide that unless there was an issue and they would do a referral. I did get a new prescription, which I hadn't gotten since 2011 or so. Didn't like how expensive the frames and lenses they had in store, so told Heath I would get new glasses another time.
