I have used University Compounding Pharmacy for many years and customer service as well as medication compounding has gone from 5 stars to 1. My experience has been that management could care less and if there is ever a problem they do as little as possible if anything, not even a promised call back. If you have a problem here get out your wallet and don’t expect them to be fair. And yes, I’m sure I have the right pharmacy, I checked the phone number and the address. And I also do not appreciate listening to erectile dysfunction ads while on hold.

M doctor sent in a prescription and I called and followed up three days later. They said that everything was fine and it they would call when my thyroid medication would be sent out. A week later I called them and they said that my doctor needed to clarify something so I called my doctor and they called the pharmacy. A week later they called me and said they would be sending it out priority overnight because of the heat and charged me for it. When I didn’t receive it that week I called Ada and was told that it was with USPS and it would take 3-5 days to get to me. By now I am out of my medicine and had to travel for a few days. You can’t just stop taking thyroid medication and I have none. They did nothing to make this situation right. My doctor was closed on the day that I called and I have no thyroid medicine. I’m so frustrated with this company and plan to tell my doctor that I will not use them again. 3 weeks is too long to fill a prescription. They should have told me that they needed more information tge first week that I called. They didn’t give me my money back for the priority mail either. Absolutely unacceptable. Do not use them.

Changing my review to reflect current experience… this used to be a 5 star business, however I have no idea what is going on since the name change.

I am having constant issues with customer service, being told that I will get my prescriptions and then it keeps getting bumped out days, no one is telling me the truth about what is going on and it’s honestly not good customer service anymore… I’m the one who has to call for updates. They are not communicating internally and I keep having to deal with different people every time I call. I will say there are 1 or 2 people I have spoken to that seem really helpful and nice, but then I call back the next day when I haven’t heard anything and it’s a totally different story from someone else. The majority I have spoken to lately seem new or like they are not trained fully, and also some have been rude and don’t listen to understand what I’m trying to communicate.

Then they will tell you that processing time takes 24 to 48 hours for everything however it actually takes longer and I’ve been given excuses about why, that are really just internal miscommunications/delays and they don’t just own up to it. They don’t follow up timely with doctors or patients.

Today the customer service rep blamed everything on my doctor’s office which I know is not true because this doctor and his staff are so on point and so quick to respond and I have never had one issue with them at all. I called them to find out their side and they did everything in a very prompt manner, as always. The delays are with the pharmacy.

I’ll update this if things change but I’m very disappointed. I think we have finally gotten my medication figured out, with the pharmacists, but customer service really makes me want to transfer my prescriptions. I really like Kate the pharmacist and she is super helpful (honestly she is awesome), and Chris the pharmacist was not helpful, kept talking over me and acted annoyed. Just doesn’t care to listen or want to help me.

So the customer service is really taking a turn and it’s worth noting that they keep you on hold for much longer than appropriate when a call back would be more professional. The hold message / recording is also pretty annoying (for lack of better word). Sorry, had to be honest about that one - it’s all about ED pumps and weight loss injections because that’s the bulk of the business now.

I will add - if processing times take so long and you’re not able to fulfill urgent or even time sensitive prescriptions, or at least honor the time frames that your customer service and pharmacists are telling people, maybe you need to hire some more staff. I’ve never had these issues with other compounding pharmacies, so it’s making me second guess things. I wanted to give my business to a local pharmacy instead of going out of state to the others I have used, and then I can also pick them up vs mail (for refrigerated), and a former colleague works in sales here… but things need to get tightened up because the customer experience has declined.

Update - I think they just don’t care about my business because they are so overwhelmed and growing so fast because they have erectile dysfunction meds and weight loss injections so they are apparently focusing more on that.

Thank you.

I was already happy with their products, but today was impressed by their service. They proved that they are a local and caring partner, and that goes a long way!

Needed a medication Urgently and I called and requested for it on a Friday morning. The pharmacy said they could not help me and I will have to wait till they get to my prescription and then they called me the following Tuesday late evening!!! This is how they respond to an urgent medication request! I went to a different pharmacy on Friday after hearing the response and got the medication within 2 hours.
Update based on your response below - there was no clarification needed from the doctor! So please don't use that as an excuse!

As a medical professional I highly recommend this pharmacy. They have good communication and high quality medication. They provided information about testing and sourcing for their medications and the medications worked very well. I recommend this to my patients and colleagues. Thank you.

I don’t have much to add to my five star rating. Medications have always arrived on time, in excellent condition. My only pet peeve is the adhesive used for the bottle’s label is difficult to remove so that I can only recycle the bottle using a blade. The staff has always been very nice.
