I worked with Kelleher to consign and successfully sell my father's stamp collection after his passing. They were very professional every step of the way. Through lucky timing their co-chairman David Coogle was in my area when I reached out and their consignor rep Brian Scanlon was able to arrange for David to come inspect the collection in person. I was very impressed with both his deep knowledge and his genuine enthusiasm for the stamps. I believe Kelleher's reach and position as a major auction house got us the most possible value for the collection.

I am quite pleased with the process and results of selling a stamp collection through Kelleher Auctions. Brian Scanlon did an excellent job of walking me through the whole process - from setting realistic expectations, to shipment and estimation and then to auction placement, which was surprisingly quick.
I am overall very satisfied with the choice of Kelleher Auctions.

When it came time to sell my father's beloved stamp collection I could not have found a better place than Daniel F Kelleher Auctions. From beginning to end the staffs attention to detail and professionalism was of the highest quality. From my initial email inquiring about their services Brian immediately responded and his promptness and professionalism continued throughout the entire process. Their care with our collection and respect given that we were selling because of my father's passing made parting with my father's favorite possession so much easier. My mother and I both cannot thank Brian and the entire team enough for all the work done to help us through this process.

Kelleher Auctions helped me with the sale of the stamp and currency collection I inherited from my uncle. I was continually impressed with their professionalism, knowledge and courtesy. Their Consignment Director, Brian, helped me through the process every step of the way.

I was only in Boston for a few days, from out of state, to help settle my uncle’s affairs. Brian came from Connecticut to Boston to meet me in person and review the collection right away. He gave me an auction estimate and transported the large collection back down to Kelleher. He was able to explain to me what was valuable in the collection, and also very importantly, what was not. The consignment and auction process were all explained clearly. The contract was straightforward and clear as well.

Once the collection was at the Kelleher warehouse, their team sorted, cataloged, photographed, and appraised everything. I cannot even imagine the amount of work it took their team to take a whole van full of boxes and turn them into individual lots with beautiful photos and detailed marketing descriptions.

Ahead of the auctions, Kelleher provided me with the low and high auction estimates for each lot, and the minimum starting bid. I enjoyed watching the auctions online and I was pleasantly surprised at the results: the final sales totals far exceeded the original auction estimate I received.

I am so grateful to have found Kelleher Auctions. Thanks to the whole Kelleher team, my uncle’s cherished stamp and currency collection has been passed into the hands of new expert collectors who can appreciate and conserve them for the future.

Brian came to my home and was very professional, corporate, and polished unlike some of the other part-time crusty dealers that look like they just rolled out of bed, who tried to come to my home and steal my collection for half the price. My stamps actually sold for more Than they expected and estimated and made me very happy. It’s nice to see there’s still some professional people in the world who do what they say.

It's easy for those of us with older and inherited stamp collections to hope we have gems worth lots of money! The auction process brings you back down to reality, LOL. A company representative came to my home and was very knowledgeable and helpful, though his initial estimate of my stamps' value was twice what the eventual minimum was set at. The cataloguing and organization were very professional. My one gripe is this: I was told I would receive my check three months post-auction, and am still waiting for it a week shy of three months.

We inherited stamps from a loved one who passed away. We took the time to take pictures of all of the perfectly preserved stamps (this took about 4 hours). Unfortunately, the person who we reached out to didn’t even want to see our stamp collection and was extremely rude. It’s interesting because it looks like reading a previous review, this is not the first time this has happened and the company wanted to work to be better, but clearly they are not better. For a company that is specifically created to value stamps, they really don’t care about stamps or people. Anyways, we’ll be more than happy to bring our business elsewhere.

I inherited a stamp and coin collection. I knew already it wasn’t a rare set of either but something. I reached out to them and the person I spoke to was a bit brash but I didn’t judge about it. Sorta like he couldn’t be bothered like the other review said below. He asked what I had and I told him. Sent him pictures he requested and he figured 10k +- a few days later I spoke with him and he said it was 7k at best but maybe only 3-4, but would take it on because he said he would. I spent a couple weeks getting the stamps organized and created an online album with photos of all the albums. He ghosted me so I reached out to the company again as a first contract. A few days later same guy calls me and says it is low end 7k and maybe as high as 20k. Asked me to give him until following week to set up a meeting with his local agent in my area. I went on to my inherited coin collection and spent 10 days just cataloguing and photographing it. Had questions along the way so I pinged him and asked questions and added what’s going on with stamps. Dodged the question about stamps every time. Sent link to my coin album an got email they are not worth but 2k so they won’t touch it. I understood. But again asked about the stamps. He emailed me saying they were 2k at best now and to try EBay. Said the market dried up. I said market’s fluctuate but a person’s word should not. Guess it could be him or someone higher up but doesn’t matter. Guess I am glad I didn’t hand my stamps or coins over to them. They can’t even handle keeping their word or story straight. I have offer for 4600.00 just to melt the silver I am looking at now. Stamps I will seek other options.
