Her training is exceptional, having attended top schools and completed prestigious residencies, and she also serves as an academic physician at Weill Cornell School of Medicine.

I developed serious dark sun spots on my lips last couple years due to daily running during daylight without applying sun screen on my lips area. I was recommended by my dermatologist to Dr. Elaine F. Kung for laser treatment. I had my first treatment back in early June. I could see dramatic results with at least 80% improvement. Then I had second treatment 2 weeks ago and my lips got better without noticing any sun spots. I’m so impressed with Dr. Kung’s performance and professionalism. Wish I came to her sooner. I don't normally write reviews but I am very impressed with Dr. Kung's expertise. Apologies if this might be long. I took my eldest child to Dr. Kung after having another dermatologist for a few years before that, where whatever treatment my daughter got was not working and we didn't want to start her on oral medication yet either as proposed by her dermatologist at that time as she was still in middle school. Her acne got really, really bad (we were afraid of permanent redness or scarring on her whole forehead as the whole area was all reddish purple from the acne and started spreading to her side cheeks) before we found Dr. Kung. Dr. Kung heard our concerns with not wanting oral medication and understood. After we left our first visit, my daughter just blurted out that she liked Dr. Kung better than her other doctor. She liked the fact that they asked for the facial products she used and took the time and went through each one going through all the ingredients to understand if there might be something that could exacerbate the inflammation of her skin. She liked that they also asked her a lot of questions and explained things to her so she understood about the treatment she needed, how skin can be, etc and they wrote out all the steps for the regimen she should follow. She said her previous Dr never asked her about the products she used and didn't feel the level of care she felt with Dr. Kung. When my daughter's acne actually cleared up with the regimen and topical medication prescribed, my nieces were impressed. One of them have even started going to Dr. Kung too. I would totally recommend Dr. Kung.

Visited here to check on a skin issue that was bothering me and left here with one prescription after a 5 minute conversation with the derm. Because I have a history of a certain skin condition, the default cause had to be that despite there being visible pus which is a sign of infection on the affected area.

Came back for a few follow up visits and each visit is exactly the same. It felt like I spent more time with the assistant talking about my issues than the doctor. Front desk had me write down my credit card information which I've never had to do at any doctor's office before.

You spend more time in the waiting rooms then talking with the derm which made me feel like I was visiting urgent care and not a specialty office.
