Old McMicky's Farm - Odessa, Florida

Visited Old McMicky’s Farm on a weekday in the middle of July. We made it there just after opening at 9am. There were maybe two other families there at the same time as us. We didn’t have any trouble buying tickets at the window. They accept cash or card.

The farm is super clean and welcoming. You can tell that the owners, along with all the farmhands and tour guides, take a lot of pride in keeping the animals and land in pristine condition.

All the animals on the farm look incredibly healthy and show no signs of distress, even though some were rescues and have experienced abuse previously. You can see that they receive a lot of love & care now.

Our farm tour guide was the lovely Emma. She was truly incredible. Not only was she knowledgeable, she just had a natural ability to talk to people. You could tell that she loved interacting with the animals and guests. What a gem to have such a remarkable young lady leaving a great impression for this farm experience!

Emma was not only personable, she was witty and made the entire experience even more fun.

Speaking of fun, the price you pay for the farm tour ($15 per person) was worth every cent! You get 2 hours of hands-on experience with the farm life. We got to interact and pet animals that we’ve never touched before!

From mini horse rides to catching & holding chickens to being guided around by the farm-boss, Mango, the turkey, the Old McMickys farm tour was an unforgettable experience. This was such a great way to celebrate my 4 year old’s birthday. He even got an extra pony ride and lots of recognition for being the birthday boy!

My kids especially loved brushing & petting the goats and the maze that ends with a slide. I loved the relaxing, shaded hay ride.

I will say a family favorite ended up being the chicken coop or the “Fluffy Butt Hut”. It was cool to catch chickens and hold them. I never knew they could be so friendly, calm, and loving. My 6 year old couldn’t stop laughing!

We will definitely be returning guests when we visit this area again. I cannot recommend it enough! If you have little animal-lovers or curious kids, this farm tour will be a core memory for all of you.

Didn't know I was coming here today. I was driving up 41 and saw a sign that said boat ramp, drove to the end of the street, and there was Old Mcmicky's Farm. I haven't been here in years. The place is 2 times the size, and it's gorgeous. They have a catering hall and an event center. Beautiful birds and cows and wildlife roam the property. It was closed. I met Hector, the catering coordinator. He said it was okay for me to walk around and check it out. It's a really great place to have an your special event or birthday party. It was nice to get out and see the animals, as far as educational... idk ?‍♀️. Everyone was hot and the stations lasted sort of long for the 4 under crowd for attention spans but there wasnt much more than names and basics about this is a mountain goat and his name is Pan. But for each one. Like we learned their names and what kind they are but.. I was looking for more about the breeds how they came about. I'm sure if it wasn't hot we would have. But they did pet a lot of animals and ride horses and see several animals. it was nice! All the staff were awesome and we even saw a bonus animal, the chupacabra!

I would get there early if you're going in the summer. Great place for toddlers to see all the typical farm animals, an opportunity to milk a cow, ride a horse, pet a chicken. Such nice employees and overall a solid outdoor activity! Bring water for sure.

Wonderful place to bring the kids with lots of fun and very friendly staff. My kids loved all the animal encounters and overall learning about each animal. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Old Mcmickeys Farm has been around FOREVER. I used to go on field trips to the farm when I was in Elementary school..and now I get to take my own two children. $15 per person.We spent about 2 hours hear, on a guided Tour, that ended with a Hay ride . Make sure to wear your tennis shoes ? because your walking through alot of dirt and animal droppings. I would also suggest sunscreen and lots of water because it did get very hot with limited shade! The only thing I would change would be to choose if you wanted to do the tour or walk around on your own. Maybe have a staff member at every stop to monitor the customers with the animals?¿? But all in all, fun little petting zoo for the kids ?

Gorgeous venue! Wonderful staff. Well cared for animals. Children have a fantastic experience. Parents and grandparents loved it also. I would highly recommend.

We liked it here very much. The tour includes milking a cow, rinding a horse, petting pets. Around 1,5 hours.
