A big, an enormous thank you to the loveliest young lady from Rome, Italy, who works at the pharmacy and who was so kind and attentive (and super knowledgeable!) who helped me so much with amazing recommendations for my skin concerns. I've been a regular at Portmans pharmacy for a couple of years and always found the service level to be great. My last visit, however, really made me want to leave a review.
A few weeks ago I came in with my mum to collect a prescription for rosacea. The young man behind the counter (Anand) was so helpful and gave me lots of advice for how to make my rosacea better. He showed both me and my mum great products as well as giving us samples to try out to see if it worked for us. Anand was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, and both me and my mum love the products he recommended. Such a great experience - thank you Anand!

I bought a 15g tube of Calesten Hydrocortisone cream for athletes foot from there today. I queried the price of £7.49. I thought I paid half that when I last bought it.
I checked online prices afterwards, and Boots do a 30g tube of the same stuff for £5.90!
The lesson.... Check prices online first, so you don't get ripped off.

Amazing staff! As a tourist in London for the first time I was struggling to buy the antibiotics that I very much needed using a french prescription obtained via an online consultation.
The staff was ready to help from the get go and rapidly found a solution to get me the medicine that other pharmacies categorically refused to do so.

This is an amazing pharmacy. It reminds me of a French pharmacy. It has the widest selection of skin and body care that I can think of in chemist in Central London. The dental section is very good and so are the range of baby products. It is so clean! The staff are always very knowledgeable and helpful.

Overpriced and bad customer service.

Portmans has charged £30 for a medication that another pharmacy (Signature Pharmacy) charged £18 (plus free same day delivery)… That is almost double the price for the exact same item…

If the service was amazing, a small price difference would be understandable - but the service is actually quite bad.

It is always very slow and they take forever to find prescriptions when you come in. This is an issue I have had repeatedly. They also don’t notify you in advance when items are out of stock - which also wastes time.

I certainly won’t be using their service any more.
