After a visit to my dermatologist, one of my prescriptions had a GoodRX price that was simply amazing given my insurance did not cover. Not a quick drive as I discovered but the store pharmacy had the order filled in 10 minutes and I was on my way home. Will need to return each month but if the price stays the same well worth the drive.

The store appears to be mid renovations making it slightly difficult to find what you need understandably. Prices are a little higher than nearby competitors. However, the bagels were fresh and delicious.

I bought alcohol with my friend. One of us is 27 years old and the other is 30 years old. The man asked us both to show ID. Even though we said that mine was in the car, there was no need for 2 ID cards, my friend would buy the alcohol and that this was ridiculous, he constantly said that he had to see that both people were over 21 years old. He did not sell until I brought it from the car. So if we come shopping with our child, can't we buy alcohol? What a ridiculous rule is this?

I have been coming to this Safeway for 25 years. I actually have no complaint about the store except for the New Manger there! I came in today this morning around 10 AM I went to the service counter to purchase money orders that I've been doing for the last 25 years and today the new manager said I must have a drivers license purchase them! He seemed agitated and angry? He is an older grey haired man, he was very curt! I didn't have my license on me, because My current one broke because of wear and I explained that to him, and I said I have it on my cell phone front and back, and he said to that won't doBut I was only buying MONEY ORDERS! And that should not require a drivers license then he lied about the reason saying there was lots of criminal dealings afoot with money orders! But you give them the money for the amount of the order! Needless to say, I left and went to post office up the street,and purchased the money orders, and was not able to do my usual shopping, because I went to work, so it cost me time! I then called the Leesburg Safeway and the Herndon Safeway and found out there is no such policy....he lied! Plain and simple! And your own surveillance equipment will verify my encounter! I have spent tens of thousands of dollars at this Safeway in thev last 25 years and for someone to be so petty and and deceptive about purchases of a money order seems a little odd! And maybe even biased in some regard! I also have the receipts from the Post Office where I was forced to go to! Oh I can't remember his name but he use to work at the Countryside Store that is now closed!(6/6 2024)

TERRIBLE experience with fresh Pass. Signed up for the 12.99 a month free delivery, etc. service. Two months later they charged me $99 for The annual fresh pass service, which I did not ask for. This put my account in the red. I called- spent hours trying to figure out what happened and to have it refunded. They refused and said it couldn’t be done. But, three days later I am ordering online and I’m being charged delivery fees. I called again trying to get to the bottom of this issue. They refunded the $ 99 and canceled my account altogether without telling me . I tried to re-sign up but the fresh pass app blocked me because a shopper is required to wait a month after cancellation But I DIDN’T cancel it. In the meantime, they delivered moldy fruit to my house on a previous order. Don’t use this service unless you like Safeway playing with your money and requiring you to spend hours on the phone to fix their myriad mistakes. I will never shop there again

There floral depth is bad. Poor service. Poor products. I went there and bought roses. Flopped over in 3 days.They had no lace to add to a dozen plain roses either. Had to go to Harris Teeter to get some. While at HT, I saw their selection..much nicer with friendly staff too. I will be going there now for my floral needs.
